Communication was great, so we had no problem checking in and returning to our vacation. The house itself is well laid out and spacious. The kitchen is well appointed, which is great because we love to cook. We rented a golf cart to get our group to the beach, which I recommend. It makes parking a no-brainer and is really fun. We also brought bicycles which were a good method of transportation. Much of the ride to the beach is shaded.

The historic downtown is quaint, and we enjoyed several meals there. Timoti’s, The Salty Pelican (excellent tuna nachos!), Hola, The Patio Place (savory crepes), Sandy Bottoms (casual, beach view), and Nana Teresa’s Bake Shop (key lime tart) were all delicious. We also ventured south to the Sandollar Restaurant one evening and enjoyed the water views, live music, and giant crab legs.

If you have extra time, I would recommend checking out Cumberland Island. A couple of us booked the tour (accessible only by ferry) in advance and really enjoyed it. Lots of great history and wildlife.
I would definitely recommend Amelia Island and 8 Sea Marsh Cove to groups planning a trip. The Omni resort is well maintained and pleasant to navigate. We would return in a heartbeat.

We vacation yearly (with our two kids) in Amelia and must say 8 Sea Marsh Cove is one of the best properties/locations/views in the Plantation; it truly exudes serene beauty. The owner could not be more eager to please and accommodating, and the house and property could not be more pleasing to the eye with every appointment needed to have the best possible stay. The entire house, including the lanai, was exceptionally clean; the yard – was impeccably maintained. Luxurious towels…linens, very comfortable beds, anything and everything needed in the huge kitchen, and plenty of gathering spaces. Be sure to check out the ocean life table in the kitchen—-love this! We stayed on the lanai much of our time as the view from the house to the water was amazing. Adirondack chairs at the water’s edge offered a lovely spot for morning coffee and evening cocktails, as well as Bird watching – many birds to see, including the Roseate Spoonbill! 3 min golf cart ride (we rented from Excel) to The Omni Hotel, beach, pool, shopping and restaurants. We brought our kayak and enjoyed the water in the backyard. We hope to return soon…maybe sooner than our usual yearly visit. This home is special as are the memories to be made here! Cheers to you Evan, and your family, thank you for sharing your little slice of heaven with us! It was perfect!
